Chesh app good for
Really fun game. Dont let the randomness fool you, theres lots of strategy to it.
Its a really fun game once you get whats going on! It has a lot of different modes and ways to play. Even having online multiplayer which is great! Thoroughly enjoyed.
Really intriguing game with a great variety of play modes and options! Im deleting the plain old "chess" App off my phone.
Gameplay is fun and likely to stay fresh for a long time. Local multiplayer on a phone is very welcome, too.
Could use a more approachable breakdown of rules and concepts, though.
If you dont mind the unknown, Chesh cuts out the intimidation of needing to have studied for the match. The game rewards quick thinking and short term recall with all the geometric strategy of the centuries-old predecessor
There is so much nuance to this game that the most skilled player or the most inexperienced will both have a great experience playing it. Brilliant work
Some bad moments
Interesting game. Love the art style and sound. Would buy again.
If you like chess games, or if you like board games, or if you like randomly generated games, or if you like fun games, or if you like puzzle games, or games that look awesome, or..... If you like GaMes in general, get this game! Amazing and addicting
This game is really weird and Im not even sure I "like" it but it sure has a lot of really neat ideas. I respect the audacity of decisions like not allowing the switching of selected units after the fact even if it feels like it messes me up constantly. I could see folks with some experience really make this thing shine though.
I recommend it but definitely suggest keeping an open mind, and let it teach you a bunch of lessons about the "whys" of game design. Its a wide open possibility space out there and someone needs to explore it.
If you love chess but wanted a different take on it this game is for you!!
A lot of this game is random, but its got patterns within each game. You have to be able to memorize what each piece (read: sprite) moves like. Its not limited to the rules of Chess and I really enjoy that. I dont know though whether or not each sprite keeps the same movement across games.
This game is worth your time and money.
Imagine being trapped in a strange chess-like game on an alien world, with no understanding of the rules. With each move you make, you get a better understanding of how to play the game. Just hope you figure it out before your opponent does.
Chesh is procedurally generated to keep you endlessly confused, but maybe if you keep your wits about you, youll start to see the patterns...
